My Bio

Shortly after earning a law degree from Washington & Lee University, my family and I moved to Fairfax County. For the last nineteen years, we have called Reston home. I spent five years working in Washington, DC as legislative counsel to a national non-profit organization before joining my wife Kristina in our real estate practice. Together, Kristina and I have over 30 years experience helping clients buy, sell and rent homes throughout Northern Virginia. While the majority of my work is in Fairfax, Eastern Loudoun and Arlington Counties, I have helped clients buy and sell homes from Fredericksburg to Lovettsville to Warrenton. I have also represented clients who are buying their first home, those buying retirement property and everyone in between. I have successfully represented clients in the one hundred thousand dollar range and those purchasing and selling million dollar properties. Buying a home is an enormous undertaking. It is also a very personal one. In recognition of the personal nature of the process, I have geared my practice around three key elements: Education, Communication and Comfort. It is paramount that my clients understand every step of the process as well as all of the options, opportunities and ramifications of each decision. Regular communication here is essential. The client must feel comfortable – they must be the ones driving the train. When not working with my clients, I enjoy watching our children’s sporting events, hiking and taking advantage of the area’s rich cultural opportunities. Community involvement is also a big part of the Evans family lifestyle and I have been active in coaching, scouting, volunteer teaching and civic education. From 2008 to 2010 I was also a visiting professor at Virginia Military Institute.
